Because of the way formatting works on SB Nation's platform and my own limitations in HTML editing, I don't have a clean, easy way of doing what I want to do in this post. The point here was to determine what we're losing and how we might (key word: might) replace those losses.
The first chart in each situation shows things as they were going into last night's game. Because of injuries, that's a bit deceptive in a couple of places we'll talk about below. Seniors leaving to graduation are blocked in red. I have not subtracted any draft-eligible non-seniors that might eventually declare. If/when they do, I'll update the post.
The second chart shows the potential depth chart for the beginning of the 2014-2015 season. This is going to involve a tremendous amount of speculation, some reasoned guesses, and, I hope, a lot of collaboration from the community.

Boxing Cyril's name in red made me die a little inside. I'm not going to lie to you.
This is one of those situations where listing the team as it is right now is a little misleading regarding what we lose. Had he not been injured, Spencer Drango would have been our starter at LT. So we're not really losing our starting LT to graduation, it just looks like it. I couldn't find a healthy balance that was both representative of the way things should be and the way they are. I hope young Mr. Feuerbacher is ready to play at TE!

Baylor returns 3 should-be starters on the OL, will have to replace Cyril (as if that was possible), find a center, and do something at TE. I honestly believe we were going to throw a pass to Armstead last night before Petty got sacked, so that's something. I'm waving my hands considerably trying to find where the Muir brothers fit in. It's worth noting that Blake started at Hawaii before transferring to Baylor, so he could be a viable option at several different spots.
Yeah, I'm including freshmen in this. So what?

Well, that is less than ideal. Even with the knowledge that Trahan was only starting because Bryce Hager (a junior this year) was injured, Baylor loses at least 7 starters from the defense, including both corners, our WLB, NB, both ends, and starting safety (Ryan Reid is boxed in red on this only because he's in the same box as Joe Williams. He's not going anywhere).

Tion Wright (SO) |
You'll notice a lot of question marks in this post. They are there for a reason: I have no idea what is going to happen at some of these spots. Before we added Chris Sanders and Tion Wright, Baylor was going to be extremely young at corner next season. We might still be. We also don't have a nickelback on the roster with any game experience to this point. To state things positively, the secondary should have a ton of good spring training battles! At this point, the defensive line looks like the obvious strength of the team. Billings and Bonds will both be a year older after having gone through just their second offseason program with Kaz. Ukwuachu, the Boise State transfer, can finally play after sitting out a year.
I could easily see Hager and Campbell, should they play together, switch places. We won't know until the spring!
Thoughts? Tell me where I went wrong. Seriously.
