Remember when Robert Griffin wasn't going to win the Heisman against Texas' fearsome defense, the same group that hadn't allowed a passing touchdown of longer than 20 yards all season? I do. It was one year ago today that their world came crashing down.
You didn't plan on it, Emmanuel Acho, but it definitely happened. He came, he saw, and he conquered, Keenan Robinson.
Easily my favorite part of this game was the suddenness of the attack. Here's what I mean:
1st Quarter Play by Play |
||||
| Texas at 15:00 | TEX | BAY | ||
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Justin Tucker kickoff for 70 yards returned by Antwan Goodley for 41 yards to the Bayl 41. | 0 | 0 | ||
| Baylor at 14:47 | TEX | BAY | ||
| 1st and 10 at BAY 41 | Robert Griffin III pass incomplete to Kendall Wright. | 0 | 0 | |
| 2nd and 10 at BAY 41 | Robert Griffin III pass complete to Kendall Wright for 59 yards for a TOUCHDOWN. | 0 | 6 | |
| Aaron Jones extra point GOOD. | 0 | 7 | ||
| Ben Parks kickoff for 59 yards returned by D.J. Monroe for 18 yards to the Texas 34, BAYLOR penalty 5 yard Offside accepted. | ||||
Two plays, Texas. That's all it took. And that game was 1 year ago today.
