The Lady Bears return from Oklahoma with yet another win while the Men look to knock off the Jayhawks.

The Baylor Bears welcome the nine-time Big 12 Champions Kansas Jayhawks to the Ferrell Center tonight at 6:00. If you can be there. Be there. We need to fill the Ferrell with a loud, proud home crowd to back our Men as they look to take down the 'Hawks.

"Bears look to win consecutive games vs. ranked teams for the first time in BU history." - BaylorBears.com

There is no doubt that the Kansas game is the biggest basketball game of the year. How can it not be? We all know of Kansas' storied past, etc., etc. None of that matters tonight. Tonight the Baylor Bears take the court following a massive upset win over the reeling Pokes. Kansas, meanwhile, fell in Austin to a red-hot Texas team. If Baylor can pull off yet another upset victory, they will have established a firm base from which to mount their comeback in the Big 12.

No official word yet on whether or not Kenny Chery will play.

Unfortunately, I was unable to watch this game, so I cannot comment too much on it. Just looking at the stats though, I can tell you this: If Odyssey Sims doesn't win National Player of the Year, the voters are crazy. Nina Davis, despite being 5' 11", grabbed a whopping 14 rebounds to add to her 19 points. This girl is going to be incredible by the time she's a senior.

Off Season: Football and Baseball

First, for all you Central Texas folk:

National Signing Day is tomorrow! Mark has your preview right here. Up until yesterday, it looked as if the Baylor class was full. Not if Spencer Evans had anything to do with it. The kicker from Martin High School in Arlington is apparently a solid kicker. I haven't had a chance to watch film yet, but those who have say this kid is good. He must be to make these long FGs:

Make sure to follow all the Signing Day news tomorrow at this link:

Baylor is getting some pre-season love. We all know these polls are meaningless at the end of the season, but it is still nice to receive the attention.

Former Baylor star Kendall Wright was seen cruising about down in his new McLaren MP4-12C. That is one nice car.

Baseball is coming.

Best of the Rest

The TV schedule for softball is out. The Lady Bears take the field in Vegas in a mere three days at the Sportco Kick-Off Classic. Their home opener is a series against UAB and Drake University on 14 February.

The next tennis match is not for a few days.

Other Happenings

BEEFTANK is real! Well, almost. As all who have read BREAKING MADDEN (which should be everyone) know, Clarence BEEFTANK never throws the ball. Regardless, when is the last time you've seen a 300+ pound quarterback? And he's left-handed, which is unusual for a quarterback.

Oklahoma State lost yet another game, this time in a triple-overtime thriller to Iowa State. If you missed this game, you missed a good one.

The Mothership has all your Winter Olympic needs. The Games start in a few short days. Go USA!

That's all for today, folks. Get on over to the Ferrell Center tonight and cheer on your Bears!
