Your Daily Bears Report writers are busy, busy, busy! Not only are ten sports in season, but this week is the inevitable "Have-all-the-tests! week." There are sports to cover though, so we must keep calm and carry on.
In Season: MBB, WBB, Baseball, and Softball

The Man Bears are on a three game winning streak and while play has not always been stellar, they have made the critical plays needed, unlike in January. There is still much work to be done if the Bears are to make the Dance. Baylor looks to extend its win streak Saturday in Morgantown.
Coach Drew keeps talent coming to BU - Baylor Lariat
Shehan Jeyarajah, the Sports Writer for the Lariat, put up a nice piece about one of Coach Drew's greatest strengths: recruiting.
No. 6/5 WBB Plays Iowa St. for First Time This Season - BaylorBears.com
The 17-7 (6-7) Iowa State Cyclones travel down to Waco to take on your Baylor Lady Bears tonight at 7:00. ISU's star, Hallie Christofferson, and their freshman duo of Jadda Buckley and Seanna Johnson look to best the Big 12's top scorer Odyssey Sims and the freshman phenom Nina Davis. Despite ISU's poor conference record, those three are ones to watch out for; Christofferson has been named Phillips 66 Big 12 Player of the Week twice, while Johnson (4) and Buckley (3) have combined for seven Freshman of the Week honors. For comparisons sake, Sims and Davis both have earned their respective honors six times.
Baylor should win this game handily as they are in top form right now. However, I am interested in seeing the trio of ISU players in action. From what I can gather, those girls can play. Unfortunately, I have two tests on Thursday, so I cannot make this game.
Baseball Wins Home Opener 5-2 Over UTA - BaylorBears.com
The Bears trailed after the first inning, but soon tied the game up in the second. The Mavericks managed to take the lead again in the fifth, only to fall behind for good after a 2-run sixth by Baylor. Baylor added another two in the seventh to take a 5-2 lead, which would end up being the final score.
Due to the massive amount of work I have this week, I could not personally make this game, even though the weather was pretty much perfect weather for baseball. Oh well, c'est la vie. Luckily, Baylor's bullpen did not follow my lead and showed up in force for this game, holding UTA scoreless over the final 4.2 innings. After giving up so many runs at Arizona State, it must feel good for the Bears to hold a team to just two runs.
Baylor will play a home series this weekend versus Austin Peay.

The Lady Bears will be in action starting tomorrow at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic in Palm Springs, California. They begin the tournament against Mizzou.
Off Season: Football
The biggest news in the football world is the NFL Combine happening this weekend. A record six Baylor standouts will be participating in this weekend's events. Also joining Dixon, Goodson, Najvar, Reese, Richardon, and Seastrunk will be Baylor's team physician, Jon Ellis. Apparently, only a select group of team physicians get to go to the Combine, so this will be a great opportunity for Ellis to fling the green and gold afar while in Indy.

Below 4.3? That's screamin'! Then again, Briles' offense didn't compared to an F-22 for nothing.

The debate continues over this contemptible rule. I think I speak for all Baylor fans when I say that we desperately hope this rule does not become official.
Best of the Rest
Women's Tennis plays tomorrow in Aggieland. Other than that, there will not be much in this section until the weekend rolls around.
This is the end of your Baylor sports fix for the moment. If you want more, you'll have to go to the Lady Bears game tonight at 7:00! Auf Wiedersehen!
