We all knew going into the game that Buffalo brought two major weapons to the table on Saturday. One we failed to account for, wide receiver Alex Neutz (I shudder to see what the troika of Pope, MCM and St. Francis will have to say about our secondary). On the other hand, Baylor made us wonder if likely-All American Khalil Mack even suited up for the game.
Against second-ranked Ohio State, Mack had an impressive 8 tackles, 2.5 sacks, a forced fumble, a 45 yard interception return for a touchdown, and another turnover nullified by a penalty. His line against the Bears? 4(that's four)tackles and zero sacks, tackles for loss, or turnovers caused.
What does that tell us? You had better bring more than one star on defense if you hope to slow down Art Briles' offense, or they will run over you, through you and around you.
