Words to Ian McCaw, Ken Starr & Board of Regents...

IT'S TIME TO CONVENE & PUT TOGETHER YOUR PLAN TO RETAIN ART BRILES NOW!

USC just fired Lane Kippin. Mack Brown & Bo Pelini are next. All three programs will want our coach. All three programs are A-List programs, with USC & Texas arguably two of the top three (Alabama) jobs in the college football world. All three pay twice-plus what Baylor pays Briles.

It's time to look at economics. The fact is that a strong football program attracts millions of dollars to the athletic programs AND the academic programs of the university. The fact is that Baylor has just made an economic investment (in Art Briles) of $250+ million on a new football stadium.

It's time to look at reality. There is only ONE ART BRILES. (There was only one Grant Teaff--see BU football stats 1993 to 2007.) There is no successor. There is no one to "fill Brile's shoes." Plainly stated, Art Briles is irreplaceable for Baylor University.

McCaw, Starr and the Regents must develop a preemptive strategy NOW. Once a $6 million offer from UT is sitting on Brile's desk, it is too late...he's gone.

...just saying.
