Hey Kid...You don't know how good you have it...

I hate sounding like an old almost 32-year-old but here goes:

I was watching the Nebraska/UCLA game this weekend and it got me thinking of a Saturday back in October 2001. I was excited to be going to a Baylor football game against the #4 team in the nation, the Nebraska Cornhuskers. At the end of one half of football, the Bears were only down seven points as the score was 14-7. In the end, Nebraska was too much for Baylor in the second half and they lost the game with a final score of 48-7.

Box Score: Baylor’s offense was not very good to say the least. They ran 76 plays for a grand total of 187 yards (2.46ypp). This included a dismal 29 rush yards on 33 attempts (.87ypp)! Why do I bring up this terrible game from the past? To remind us that times are good to be a Baylor football fan! Their current offense is averaging 9.69ypp, which is about the average male shoe size away from a first down…EVERY PLAY! We as Baylor fans have almost become spoiled in scoring drives that are faster than most people brush their teeth! We get disappointed when drives end in field goals and think the world will end if we …dare I say…don’t score on a drive! You know what I have to say to all the cocky Baylor fans out there who think Baylor should score every time they touch the ball? Damn right they should!!! It's time for the Big 12 to look up to the Bears for once and be worried about playing the best offense in the Nation! Sic'Em Bears!
