One for the PLAYERS. A second for the uh, what should we call them..."defense?" really?
[It was hard for me to watch the 116th ranked BU defense celebrating at the Alamo Bowl (after giving up a record 7 passing td's, and 620 yds of offense!). They didn't deserve to be there. They certainly didn't deserve to join the offense in the celebration. They should have given ALL of the credit to that incredible offense which overcame a pathetic defense to a BCS 12 ranking. Simply unbelievable. The defense should have been too embarrassed to join in. It made me sick.]
It is simply not right for Baylor's defense to "enjoy" victories to which they did not contribute. (Even the fumble at the end of Friday's game was a gift--not earned.) The defense will once again be rated in the bottom five. This is NOT an improved group (we hear that every year, LOL). It is the SAME group who allowed 4 qb's last season to have the best game of their career, including Washington's and Oklahoma's. It is the same group who did not "pick RGIII up" after his 4th quarter interception against KSU while leading by 10. (And don't mention Sam Houston. They lost yesterday to Southland powerhouse Central Arkansas. Or SMU, who's offense piled up 507 yards against BU, 179 MORE than allowed by Stephen F. Austin's defense.) Bennett is obviously overrated.
It is very likely that BU's defense will once again finish in the bottom 5. Our offense deserves better....
