That's the way to kick off a new season and keep a winning streak alive! I have apologies to make concerning my pregame predictions. Apparently, I underrated both our offense and defense significantly. Particularly the defense, which used an unfamiliar scheme to flummox Garrett Gilbert until the backups took over in the fourth quarter.
I'll put together a few thoughts and post them later. For now, just know that I was extremely impressed by Baylor's performance in basically all facets of the game. Was it perfect? No, there were definitely things that the coaching staff will want to address. Did I see the things I wanted to see? Absolutely. More than I could have reasonably expected, actually. That might have been the most impressive full game played by any team in the conference, including WVU's beatdown of Marshall and OSU shameful humiliation of Savannah State.
Sic 'em, Bears!
