No. 8 Baylor (27-7, 12-0) at Kansas State (17-15, 3-6)
April 13-15, 2012 | Manhattan, Kan. | Tointon Stadium (2,331)

Baylor Baseball finished last night's continued game in style, winning 14-12 in early action this afternoon over the Kansas State Wildcats. After a 30-minute break, the teams just started the final game of the series with Baylor looking for win #19 in a row. Joey Hainsfurther started and worked a scoreless bottom of the first for the Bears, who picked up a run in their half of the opening frame.

We can use this as the open thread for the game as it continues through the afternoon, and I'll post updates here (mostly from twitter) of the action. I'll update this thread with a box from the earlier game as soon as one becomes available.

UPDATE: Win #19 is in the books after a thrilling extra-innings game in Manhattan. Baylor pulled off the victory by the final score of 12-11 on the strength of Michael Howard's first-ever home run in the top of the 11th. We're still waiting for BaylorBears.com to update, but I think we can cut them a bit of a break. They've had a pretty busy day with all the #winning.
