The Bears have only punted 27 times this season; 12 less than the next closest team in the Big XII, OSU. Now the low number of punts are for a number of reasons. The Bears are scoring 40.8 pts. a game. The Bears go for it on 4th down, converting 70% of the time (14 for 20). The Bears commit the untimely turnover (20 times too many to be exact). The Bears opt for the FG, yet Stork has made only 6 of 12; however, he has made his last two, both of which put critical points on the scoreboard.
All of this is to state the obvious: The Bears have an extremely potent offense. The Bears rank 2nd nationally in yards per game (572.7), and the only team in the nation to average more than 300 yds passing and 200 yds rushing a game. This season, no one is stopping the Bears except themselves. Sic 'em
